IP25 Rating
IP25 provides level 2 protection against solids and level 5 protection against liquids, as defined by IEC 60529.
2First digit: Solid protection
Protection against solid objects over 12.5 mm (e.g. fingers)
Test
12.5 mm diameter, 80 mm length jointed test finger
Jointed finger must not penetrate; adequate clearance from hazardous parts
5Second digit: Liquid protection
Protection against water jets (6.3 mm nozzle) from any direction
Test method
6.3 mm nozzle at 3 meters distance
12.5 liters/min at 30 kPa for 3+ minutes
