IP16 Rating
IP16 provides level 1 protection against solids and level 6 protection against liquids, as defined by IEC 60529.
1First digit: Solid protection
Protection against solid objects over 50 mm (e.g. accidental hand contact)
Test
50 mm diameter sphere
Sphere must not fully penetrate the enclosure
6Second digit: Liquid protection
Protection against powerful water jets (12.5 mm nozzle) from any direction
Test method
12.5 mm nozzle at 3 meters distance
100 liters/min at 100 kPa for 3+ minutes
