IP15 Rating
IP15 provides level 1 protection against solids and level 5 protection against liquids, as defined by IEC 60529.
1First digit: Solid protection
Protection against solid objects over 50 mm (e.g. accidental hand contact)
Test
50 mm diameter sphere
Sphere must not fully penetrate the enclosure
5Second digit: Liquid protection
Protection against water jets (6.3 mm nozzle) from any direction
Test method
6.3 mm nozzle at 3 meters distance
12.5 liters/min at 30 kPa for 3+ minutes
