IP45 Rating
IP45 provides level 4 protection against solids and level 5 protection against liquids, as defined by IEC 60529.
4First digit: Solid protection
Protection against solid objects over 1.0 mm (e.g. thin wires, screws)
Test
1.0 mm diameter access probe
Probe must not penetrate the enclosure
5Second digit: Liquid protection
Protection against water jets (6.3 mm nozzle) from any direction
Test method
6.3 mm nozzle at 3 meters distance
12.5 liters/min at 30 kPa for 3+ minutes
