IP37 Rating
IP37 provides level 3 protection against solids and level 7 protection against liquids, as defined by IEC 60529.
3First digit: Solid protection
Protection against solid objects over 2.5 mm (e.g. tools, thick wires)
Test
2.5 mm diameter access probe
Probe must not penetrate the enclosure
7Second digit: Liquid protection
Protection against temporary immersion in water (up to 1 meter depth for 30 minutes)
Test method
Immersion in water tank
1 meter depth for 30 minutes; lowest point at 1m, highest at 0.15m below surface
