IP29 Rating
IP29 provides level 2 protection against solids and level 9 protection against liquids, as defined by IEC 60529.
2First digit: Solid protection
Protection against solid objects over 12.5 mm (e.g. fingers)
Test
12.5 mm diameter, 80 mm length jointed test finger
Jointed finger must not penetrate; adequate clearance from hazardous parts
9Second digit: Liquid protection
Protection against high-pressure, high-temperature water jets and steam cleaning
Test method
EN 60529 / DIN 40050-9 (IPX9K)
80 degrees C water at 80-100 bar, 14-16 liters/min at close range (100-150 mm)
