IP13 Rating
IP13 provides level 1 protection against solids and level 3 protection against liquids, as defined by IEC 60529.
1First digit: Solid protection
Protection against solid objects over 50 mm (e.g. accidental hand contact)
Test
50 mm diameter sphere
Sphere must not fully penetrate the enclosure
3Second digit: Liquid protection
Protection against spraying water at angles up to 60 degrees from vertical
Test method
Oscillating tube or spray nozzle
10 liters/min at 50-150 kPa for 5-10 minutes depending on surface area
