IP56 provides level 5 protection against solids and level 6 protection against liquids, as defined by IEC 60529.

Dust-protected. Limited ingress of dust permitted, not enough to interfere with operation

Protection against powerful water jets (12.5 mm nozzle) from any direction
Test method
12.5 mm nozzle at 3 meters distance
100 liters/min at 100 kPa for 3+ minutes
