EULUMDAT and IES LM-63 photometric data files
What this tool checks
Checks
- ✓ Format auto-detection (EULUMDAT vs IES by extension or content)
- ✓ EULUMDAT: line count, numeric fields, symmetry vs C-plane consistency
- ✓ EULUMDAT: DFF and LORL in 0-100% range, angles in valid ranges
- ✓ IES: valid IESNA header line, TILT line present
- ✓ IES: correct count of vertical angles, horizontal angles, and candela values
- ✓ Both: monotonically increasing angle arrays, non-negative physical quantities
- ✓ Extracts summary metadata (luminaire name, manufacturer, dimensions, flux)
Does not check
- ✗ Photometric accuracy (whether candela values are physically plausible)
- ✗ Compliance with specific luminaire performance standards
- ✗ CIE flux code calculations
- ✗ Whether the distribution matches the luminaire type claim
- ✗ 3D visualization of the light distribution
